D1 Chair Assembly

Place the right side element on flat, even surface, and put bead of glue in the groove.

Take the seat. Use the tool to turn screws on seat element two rotations so the screw tips stick out slightly.

Align the three screw tips of seat with the three holes of the side element. Tighten the three screws two turns at a time, alternating between screws until they are all snug. Do not force—ensure that screws are seeding properly in their holes.

Lay chair back on a flat surface. Add glue to the seam of the back element.

Attach the chair back to the seat and right chair arm.

Lay the left chair arm on a flat surface and put a bead of glue in the seam.

Take the assembled back, seat, and side unit and attach it to the other arm, tightening gently as before, making sure that all screws are seeding properly.

All joints should be snug and tight, without wobbles.

Stand chair up and wipe off any excess dripping glue with a wet paper towel.

Allow to dry overnight.
